Why get one?

Visit bashabbreviation of the English term Bashguardis a disc whose main purpose is to absorb impacts when crossing, or projections when riding at MTB (stones, branches, trunks, etc...) to avoid damaging your chainrings, especially the teeth. Due to its positioning, it can also help limit outward derailment, but this is not its primary function.

The bash can be installed either in place of the large chainring, or to the right of your single chainring.

There are several models on the market, and you can choose from several materials: carbon fiber, steel, polyurethane or aluminum, the latter being the most widespread.
