How to choose rim tape for MTB wheels?
The rim tape is the strip used to finish the inside of the rim and thus protect the inner tube.
Standards
- Wheel diameters for an adult bike: 26"; 27.5"; 27.5+ and 29"
- Rim width
Which rim tape for my wheels?
There are few factors to consider when making your choice: simply check the wheel diameter and the internal width of your rim to ensure it covers it properly.
Reminder: if you have a Tubeless wheel, as the bed is already perfectly smooth, there is no need to use rim tape, even if you temporarily opt for an inner tube setup.
