How to fit road bike brake pads?
Whether your brake pads are cartridge-type or classic, fitting them is relatively straightforward. Here is how to do it.

Steps
Please note that brake pads have a fitting direction that is easily identified by the letter L for Left or R for Right indicated directly on them.
- Fit the new brake pads, making sure to respect the correct fitting direction.
- Gently apply the brake, then correctly position the brake pad so that it is properly aligned with the rim.
- Lightly tighten the fixing bolt.

With the brake pads now in place, it is important to check the tightening after a few braking applications.
