The Switchblade Mips from GIRO is an incredibly versatile helmet with a removable chin strap. Designed for all types of riding, and in particular for DH racingit has all the necessary safety certifications, including ASTM-1952-DH, whether the chin strap is in place or not. The chinstrap is easy to install/remove, simply by pressing a button on the underside and rotating it.

The helmet's structure, based on an In-Mold design (ABS outer shell / EPS liner), is extremely robust, thanks in particular to a series of internal anchors molded directly into the EPS foam. Safety is further enhanced by Mips technology, which significantly attenuates impact in the event of a fall by distributing the shockwave over the entire helmet surface. The Roc Loc Air DH Fit adjustment system ensures a perfect fit and maximum stability.

Comfort is also a priority, with 20 ventilation tunnels in both the main part and the chin bar, providing excellent ventilation throughout the effort. What's more, the Switchblade features hydrophilic foams capable of absorbing up to ten times their weight in water, for highly effective absorption of perspiration, with an anti-microbial X-Static coating.

The helmet is finished to the highest standards, optimized for use with a face mask by pressing down on the P.O.V. Plus visor, and features a spare visor for use with a camera.

All this for a weight of under 1,000 grams and an ultra-aggressive price.
