The CAMPAGNOLO EKAR hydraulic rear brake offers the same braking system as other Campagnolo calipers, with excellent modulation. It offers optimum road feel and works even better on gravel courses!

The Ekar caliper features a new design and a special finish, for coordination with the other components of the gravel groupset. DB310 pads - also compatible with other Campagnolo disc brakes - are made with a unique organic compound that not only offers high braking performance, but also better wear resistance: a major asset in the demanding environment of gravel, on wet or dry terrain.

The handle has been adapted specifically for gravel, while retaining all the advantages of the system, including precision and the maximum comfort guaranteed by Vari-Cushion™ hand-rests.

The lever has been redesigned: larger and C-shaped, it's easy to reach with your right thumb while you pedal with your hands high up on the handlebars, namely the hand position most used by gravel cyclists.

The levers allow you to adjust the distance to the brake lever, to suit your hand and finger size and the demands of your riding style. To further enhance control on gravel courses, the aluminum brake lever and hand rests are laser-etched with an additional weave to improve grip in all conditions.

The laser pattern is also resistant to wear and tear from sweat and dirt: an ideal solution for gravel riding.
