Angle optimized suspension

Fitted to the GT Force and Sensor models, this technology delivers better traction while improving comfort to ensure safer and more efficient riding.

The system is based on a raised main pivot that creates an optimised rear wheel path to absorb shocks and improve rolling dynamics by keeping the wheels on the ground. By isolating pedalling forces from suspension movement, the A.O.S. system ensures smoother pedalling quality on all types of terrain. In addition, the design integrates the PathLink linkage system to minimise unwanted chain growth and pedal feedback.

Independent Drivetrain Suspension

Featured on the GT Fury, Sanction and Verb models, this technology guarantees better shock absorption and increased rigidity, while being lighter.

In practical terms, Independent Drivetrain suspension offers better pedalling efficiency by isolating the suspension and the drivetrain. The floating bottom bracket and floating rear triangle work independently of each other to eliminate unwanted chain growth, minimising pedal feedback and optimising pedalling efficiency and suspension performance. Bikes equipped with Independent Drivetrain technology are designed with a progressive suspension rate (+10%) to maintain control on the most committed descents and to provide comfort over bumps. Finally, this technology ensures easy access to the shock for adjustment perfectly tailored to your needs.

LOCKR Expanding Axle System

This axle, fitted to GT Sensor models, creates a simpler, lighter and stiffer frame pivot.

Operating on the same principle as certain fork thru-axles, the Lockr axle system screws into the frame and expands until locked in place. Thanks to expansion on both sides of the frame, torque is distributed equally across all surfaces, increasing stiffness by 6%. Furthermore, Lockr technology reduces the number of parts required, lightening the system by 10% compared to traditional solutions using clamping nuts.

Progressive Geometry

Characterised by a longer top tube and shorter chainstays, progressive geometry provides more control on descents, better traction on climbs as well as greater freedom of movement.

Progressive geometry, which is fitted to most GT mountain bikes, is distinguished by a longer front wheelbase combined with a shorter stem. The result is better balance both on climbs and descents, more stability at high speed and more control in every situation.

Triple Triangle

The famous Triple Triangle frame design delivers a stiffer and more agile bike!

A hallmark of GT bikes for more than two decades, the Triple Triangle concept — and in particular the reduced-size rear triangle with two contact points — is designed to minimise unwanted frame flex, improve acceleration and offer more comfort. It also provides greater stiffness, superior responsiveness and a more precise rear wheel path. The Triple Triangle design offers more torsional rigidity, improved tyre clearance and superior power transfer to the rear wheel. It also allows the seatstays to connect to the top tube, promoting the dispersion of vibrations through the top tube rather than towards the seat tube and therefore the rider.

Dynamic Dual Fiber

Found on GT's Pavement and Gravel models, the Dynamic Dual Fiber component is a blend of fibreglass and carbon providing both greater control and reduced fatigue.

As its name suggests, Dynamic Dual Fiber combines two ultra-lightweight and ultra-stiff materials: a fibreglass composite and an outer carbon layer. The former offers outstanding rigidity while the latter optimally dissipates vibrations. The combination of the two thus results in a bike with better control and more comfort once in the saddle.

Treadroom

This design, used on the Grade (Gravel) range, allows a wide choice of tyres to be fitted to suit different types of tracks and roads. The GT Grade accepts tyre widths ranging from 28 to 35 mm, including with large knobs, thus covering all uses (Road, Touring, Cyclocross).

Most manufacturers offer a 2-year warranty on their frames. GT goes much further by offering a lifetime warranty on its frames since 2015. Components benefit from a one-year warranty, except for forks which are covered by the manufacturers' own warranties, the duration of which varies by brand.
