Haibike turns a corner in 2019 with the introduction of a complete system comprising frame, motor and battery, for an unprecedented level of integration and top-of-the-range performance.
Called FLYON, this concept can be found in the XDuro NDuro, AllMtn, AllTrail, Adventr.
Mountain bikes and VTC FLYON are based on a platform made of high-quality carbon as powerful as it is robust. The HaibikeePerformance has been designed to achieve a high level of integration, particularly with regard to the battery, which is inserted longitudinally into the downtube, resulting in a lighter, more stable construction.
All models HaibikeAll-suspension frames are also equipped with a "Flip-Chipsystem, an aluminum part whose variable position allows you to adjust the shock absorber by 9 mm, the steering angle by 1° and the casing by 10 mm, substantially modifying the bike's behavior.
HPR 120S motor
In addition to the frame, the centerpiece of the FLYON models is the motor HaibikeHPR 120S. Designed and manufactured in Germany in collaboration with TQ, this motor develops enormous torque, up to 120 Nmmaking it quite simply the most powerful motor on the market!
Enough to conquer steep slopes, fly over your playgrounds and explore new frontiers. While incredibly powerful, this engine is ultra-compact and offers perfect modulation thanks to five personalized assistance modes.
To protect this motor from the splashes and bumps inherent in eVTT riding, Haibikewhich was the first manufacturer in the world to integrate a motor shoe (or SkidPlate) back in 2012, has naturally equipped the bikes in the Flyon range with a specific reinforced composite shoe.
SkidPlate
To make the most of the possibilities offered by the motor HPR 120S, Haibike has designed a Direct Mount chainringchainring, available in 38 or 42 teeth, to adapt perfectly to your pedaling cadence and transmit all the power you need. This chainring also benefits from the Narrow/Wide design, ensuring perfect chain retention in all circumstances.
Battery
To power a motor like the HaibikeHPR 120Snaturally required the development of a specific battery. Haibike called on BMZ for this. The result is a 48 V battery with a capacity of 630 Wh. Inside, the battery is connected via a magnet and can be secured against theft by a lock developed in collaboration with Abus. The battery level can be checked via a touch sensor. The waterproof battery can be charged via a 4 amp charger either directly on the bike, or separately when removed.
Modular Rail System (MRS)
This patented system makes it possible to quickly attach various accessories directly to the bike. A mounting rail is integrated into the top of the downtube, allowing you, for example, to install a water bottle or pannier in the ideal place. This means you'll have all the accessories you need for an outing at your fingertips. On rigid frames, you can also install an auxiliary battery in a matter of moments, offering significantly greater autonomy.
The MRS is based on the magnetic fastening system FidLock magnetic fastening system, which guarantees a secure hold and easy handling.
Remote control
For the central interface between driver and system, Haibike has developed a remote control that can be used intuitively, with perfect ergonomics: the mode selector is mounted under the handlebars and is accessible by the thumb even while riding, and a side LED strip changes color according to the selected level of assistance.
On-board computer
Centrally positioned above the stem, the console Haibike console is easy to read in any situation, thanks to a high-quality display. Output data and system information can be easily viewed on four editable screens. Training data such as heart rate, cadence and calorie consumption can also be displayed and analyzed.
Integrated lighting system
With sound Skybeamer front lighting, Haibike Skybeamer front light enables even the most dedicated riders to enjoy their bikes in all seasons, whatever the light conditions. This headlamp is available in 150, 300 and, above all, 5,000 lumens. The latter features an independent system with daytime running light, providing a classic low beam, as well as a high beam developing full power. It can be operated remotely or fully automatically by a brightness sensor integrated into the display.
It is complemented by a dual rear lighting integrated into the seatstays, with 4 LEDs per side, ensuring maximum visibility of your bike, including on the danger sides.
Speed sensor
Haibike has equipped its FLYON models with a speed sensor on the disc. This sensor sends 18 signals per rotation wheel rotation to the system and measures speed 18 times more precisely than any other system on the market. As a result, the system is able to react much faster and more dynamically, recognizing acceleration even at low speeds. The sensor is positioned safely and out of harm's way.
By interconnecting the bike with intelligent functions, this system makes your experience even better.
In concrete terms, thanks to a compact transmitter consisting of a GPS transmittertransmitter, a GSM chipchip, a Bluetooth transmitter and a acceleration sensor that also detects vibrations and the VAE's position. eConnect monitors the bike and alerts the owner on his or her smartphone in the event of attempted theft. In the event of a fall, a message appears on the rider's smartphone. If the rider does not react within a certain time, an emergency call is automatically made to a pre-defined number, which informs the recipient of the location of the accident.
Finally, using data transmitted by the bike's built-in GPS transmitter, users can check their bike's location at any time. The system also memorizes routes, which can then be exported in GPX format to share with friends, for example.
