How to install a rear MTB derailleur?
While MTB rear derailleur adjustment requires a little more dexterity, the installation itself is relatively straightforward. Here is how to do it on your MTB.

Steps
We will take the case of a first derailleur installation.
- Lightly grease the derailleur bolt.
- Screw it into the derailleur hanger, making sure to respect the torque setting specified by the manufacturer.
Probikeshop tip: before installation, make sure the derailleur hanger on your frame is not bent.
The derailleur is now in place. All that remains is to fit your MTB gear shifters to adjust your derailleur.
