  • Weather : 45 min

  • Tools : Compressor or, failing that, a high-volume pump | Preventive fluid | Soapy water

Steps

Reminder : mounting tires Tubeless Ready tires must be fitted with preventive fluidwhile a tire Tubeless can be fitted without. However, it is advisable to also use preventive fluid on the latter to avoid punctures.

  1. Fit the valve without theshell on your wheel to facilitate air flow.

  2. Lubricate the rim and first bead of the tire you're about to mount with soapy water.

  3. Place the first bead on the rim.
Probikeshop tip: be sure to follow the rolling direction indicated on the tire sidewall.

  4. Still using soapy water, lubricate the second bead and place it on the rim, starting from the side opposite the valve, but leaving the bead extended for about 20 cm.

  5. Pour 60 ml of preventive fluid into the tire and finish fitting the bead.

  6. Pressurize the tire using a compressor or, failing that, a high-volume pump, until the beads "click" into place.
Probikeshop tip: be careful not to exceed the maximum pressure indicated on the tire.

  7. Deflate the tire, then reinstall theshell* into the valve to build up the correct pressure.
Probikeshop tip: keep the valve at its highest point during this operation to prevent fluid from escaping through it.

  8. Rotate the wheel on its axle, rocking it vigorously horizontally and vertically to distribute the product all over the inside of the tire.

  9. Check the pressure.

Your tire is now mounted. It's advisable to check the pressure before every trip. MOUNTAIN BIKE.
