Description

The BBB BTL-125 chain wear monitor makes it quick and easy to check the degree of wear on your chain, so you can keep your drivetrain running smoothly and extend the life of your chainrings and cassette.

This tool has a wear control range from 75% to 100%. It also comes with 2 hooks to keep the chain free when changing links, a valve removal tool and 5/6 and 8 mm hexagonal wrenches.

A problem of values

"Following this purchase and measurement of my Sram Eagle GX chain, I had a doubt about the value indicated by the tool. I used a friend's tool, a Park Tool 3.2, and the measurement did not match that taken with the BBB. I've compared 4 chains at different wear levels, and each time the result is different for the BBB. For example, if I measure 0.75% wear with the BBB, I get 0.5% with the Park Tool. The caliper measurement confirms the 0.5%. I haven't noticed this problem anywhere, but I can only observe."
