Nice upgrade for my bike

"Purchased to replace aging calipers, I'm back with high-performance, reassuring braking. The caliper is very well made, well finished, easy to adjust. Top notch"

"To nuance a bit with the 5-star reviews... . I'm switching from an Ultegra 6600 groupset (on which I rode for years) to R8000, starting with the calipers. * Positive points: beautiful, uncluttered, easy to install, effective braking. * Negatives: heavier than its predecessors (+ 50g compared to the BR-6600, almost 2 times heavier to include the rear caliper), fragile tensioning screw, no more efficient honestly (except for the placebo effect of new) and ... what's with these serious pads? They stripped my rim, and I had to switch back to softer BBBs. In conclusion, it's a good product, yes, but there's no noticeable difference with the old range, apart from the design and added weight. Apart from that, top-notch Probikeshop delivery with a little kdo in the parcel!"

not as good as dual mount

"shimano offers good products, especially in the ultegra range, but not without faults. oxidation of the springs and return linkage and above all of the cap nut fixing it to the frame after 2 years. this purchase made it possible to replace the old one, which i had to cut with an angle grinder because i could no longer tighten the play on the axle."

Perfect for my fixed sprocket

"Shimano! It brakes hard and has great bite, coupled with Darkpads pads for carbon wheels. Assembly is easy, as is fine-tuning. ..."

Ever more efficient...

"True to the brand. Aesthetics, power and adjustments are progressing in the right direction! The distance adjustment screw is very practical and makes centering with the rim much easier. The brake pads are easy to adjust, whatever the recommended toe-in ... as is the case with brake pads designed for exalith wheels. In this configuration, the power (for pads) has little to envy to discs. Quick, easy installation. The only drawback is that only one type of chimney nut is supplied for mounting on the frame and, above all, on the fork. It's therefore advisable to check compatibility and take care when fitting to guarantee our safety."

Perfect.

"Perfect for my road use. Skates ok for my training wheels (alu). Several nut lengths available to fit different frame widths."
