CAMPAGNOLO SUPER RECORD 2x11-Speed Braze-on Front Derailleur

The Campagnolo EPS drivetrain is an organic assembly of mechanical and electronic components that work together in an integrated manner to guarantee the highest performance. In particular, the EPS front derailleur interacts with the mechanical crankset and enhances the great speed and shifting precision enabled by X.P.S.S. technology. The 8 upshift zones and 2 special downshift zones of the associated chainrings, combined with the speed and precision of the new EPS front derailleur, guarantee first-class performance.

Technologies:

- Auto Correction: Compared to the traditional mechanical front derailleur, which could be adjusted with micro movements made by manually acting on the levers, the EPS front derailleur is equipped with a highly sophisticated electronic system for AUTOMATIC POSITION CORRECTION. The DTI (Digital Tech Intelligence) receives impulses from the controls through the interface and communicates with the sensor located inside the front derailleur, which indicates its position at all times. Depending on the sprocket selected via the controls, the EPS repositions the front derailleur to optimise its position relative to the chain. This allows chain crossings that would not be optimal in traditional systems. It performs 2 corrections both when upshifting and downshifting.

- DTI: The DTI, Digital Tech Intelligence, is located inside the Power Unit and performs constant monitoring of signals coming from all EPS components, managing their operation.
The main functions of the DTI are:
• monitor and manage the battery pack
• activate and control the rear derailleur and front derailleur
• indicate any anomalies via the rgb LED
• communicate with the interface
• activate the audible alarm

- Water Proof: The Campagnolo EPS electronic drivetrain complies with international IP67 standards.

This means the system is able to protect its electronic components against dust and any liquid ingress.

In order to achieve the IP67 rating, all electronic components of the EPS system were subjected to a series of tests that demonstrated their optimal functionality at up to one metre underwater for at least 30 minutes.
