Extraordinary performance - do not judge before 3 outings

"Like all Tufo tubulars, the Elite S3 is a chamberless tubular. Or rather, the chamber is an internal membrane "vulcanized" with the tubular itself. Lots of advantages: 1 You can repair them with tools like a tubeless and give the hose a new lease of life by putting it on the front wheel where the pressure is lower (which limits the gap between the hole if you put 8 bars on the rear. ) 2 ' It never deflates because the membrane is watertight. 3 ' They seem firm on the first outing, but that's because the membrane (chamber) is one with the tubular... but after 2 outings and the tubular wiggling due to rolling, it softens considerably and you get the perfect compromise between firmness, guidance, solidity and, above all, lateral efficiency. 4' Super-light, this Elite S3 returns superbly laterally without giving off that shamallow effect that I find unpleasant on all the top tubulars on the market. (If you inflate them too much, they bounce back, and if you don't inflate them enough, you get the shamalow effect. An Italian Conti pro team riding Tufo told me they share the same feeling... they ride Tufo... so only they can judge. ) 6 - Inflating: For me, 64 kg naked and 1m79: 7. 9 to 8. 1 baes max on the rear and on the front you can inflate it almost with 1 bar less if you feel like it. (. the rear of your bike will be hyper dynamic when dancing while remaining guided on curves and passes. ) For tubular inflation (I've been rolling tires and tubulars since 1997, when the ste. was created), generally inflate the rear with 1.3 bar more than a tire (e.g. if you inflate a 25C tire with 6.6 bar, inflate the rear with 7.9 bar max, or even 8.1 bar with a 25C Tufo tubular. ) 6 ' Tufo hoses are the easiest to assemble on the market. they center themselves. So I'm not waiting for Tufo to get the patent for the new low rolling resistance rubber compounds. Even without this, in 25 C they're almost as effective due to the herringbone structure of the sidewalls. Even the S33 pro in 25 C at 30 Euros, albeit at 310 gr, goes well over hard passes and rolls superbly... ... with this precise inflation."

A catastrophe, these casings

"VERY fragile I went through 4 of these hoses and all punctured in less than 2000 km . Not happy at all with these hoses."
