How to fit a road bike seatpost clamp?

Nothing could be simpler than fitting a seatpost clamp!

  • Time: 10 min
  • Level: Easy
  • Tools: Allen key set (for a bolt clamp) | - Torque wrench

Steps

  1. Place the clamp on your frame
Probikeshop tip: you can lightly grease the contact surface so that it seats properly when tightened.
  2. Tighten the clamp to the indicated torque for a bolt clamp, or sufficiently so that the seatpost no longer moves for a quick-release clamp.
Probikeshop tip: there is no need to overtighten, as you risk damaging the components.
