Responsible for keeping you safe on the bike, MTB disc brakes must not only be well chosen but also correctly fitted. Here is how to fit them on your MTB.
- Time: 15 min
- Level: Easy
- Tools: Allen key set
Steps
- First, place the brake levers on the handlebar. They should be positioned between the gear shifter and the grip.
- Then fit the callipers, making sure to follow the hose routing provided by your frame.
Probikeshop tip: take care not to pinch or bend the hoses.
- Start screwing in the calliper bolts without tightening them for now.
- Your brakes are now in place. If your hoses are too long, we invite you to follow the guide How to cut and fit your MTB brake hose, otherwise you can move on to how to adjust your MTB disc brakes to complete the installation.
