How to fit MTB disc brakes?

Responsible for keeping you safe on the bike, MTB disc brakes must not only be well chosen but also correctly fitted. Here is how to fit them on your MTB.

Steps

  1. First, place the brake levers on the handlebar. They should be positioned between the gear shifter and the grip.

  2. Then fit the callipers, making sure to follow the hose routing provided by your frame.
    Probikeshop tip: take care not to pinch or bend the hoses.

  3. Start screwing in the calliper bolts without tightening them for now.
