I bought this box
"I bought this gearbox to replace an original one on a Sunn mountain bike in April 2023, a gearbox that lasted about fifteen years. In July 2024, it is completely dead and the play in the crankset is such that changing the chainring becomes chaotic (I ride 70 km a week to work whatever the weather, as well as a few 40 to 60 km outings on the WE). The bearings are less solid than the original ones. I noticed that the bushes are 6 mm wide, compared with the original 10 mm. Sealing seems deficient; the bearings have oxidized. So, for a touring bike that's sheltered from the elements, mud and dust, maybe, but for a slightly sporty bike, don't bother. It's not the store's fault, it's the design of the housing itself that makes it fragile. Best regards."
