Description

For MTB equipped with a Sunrace or Sram 12-speed drivetrain and a wheel with a standard XD freewheel body, the Cassette 12 Speed SUNRACE CSMZ91X is extremely competitively priced. This Cassette aluminum frame represents an interesting solution for riders on a budget who need to renew their equipment.

"Still haven't tested it on the bike. Problem with the freewheel body."

Thigar12 (5/5)

Excellent cassette

"Excellent shifting, very reliable (lasted about a year and 3,000 hours with my previous cassette), and looks great. I paired it with an XT 11-speed derailleur: it works perfectly with a "pinpoint" adjustment of the tension screw."

Nicostnaz (5/5)

Not great at 12V

"Lots of loose parts; poorly designed for 12V. I don't recommend it."

Ludocanyon (1/5)

xd compatibility

"An interesting product for XD body compatibility; be careful when installing the two clamps on the freewheel."

Installation and testing of the SunRace CSMZ91 12V cassette

"Be very careful when installing the cassette, which comes in several parts; there’s a centering pin on the wheel axle—in my case, a SRAM XD hub. As for shifting, it’s been flawless so far—no adjustments needed. I’ve ridden 420 km with it and it’s been perfect; we’ll see how it holds up over time. I bought it for winter conditions—freezing, mud, and rain—to protect my XX1 cassette, which isn’t in the same price range."
