Reviews

1,500 km, no issues

"Installed on a bike equipped with a 500W Bafang motor and a gear shift sensor, with a (46/11-42) gear ratio; so far, the chain is holding up well after 1,500 km. No noticeable wear on the drivetrain. The adjustment is quite fiddly to achieve silence across the entire cassette range; I can’t say for sure if it’s just the chain and/or the cassette that’s the issue. It’s really not cheap, so the true verdict will come with time. I’ll come back to add a comment once I’ve finished using it. Note that it doesn’t come with a quick-link but with a pin."

AE Mountain Bike Chain

"Upgrade your chain for greater safety, durability, and long-lasting performance"

Lukos (5/5)

Unmatched quality and durability

"Excellent chain—better value, quality, and durability than the Shimano HG I used to have. I've already ridden 800 km without any issues, but I lubricate it every 2 or 3 rides. Highly recommended for e-MTBs."

Chains I use in the snow

"So far, the chain is working perfectly on my electric fatbike. I use it in the snow on the ski slopes... I maintain it with silicone and oil... It works pretty well."

Guigui74 (5/5)

THE CHAIN IS FINE, BUT THE CLASP IS BROKEN

"GREAT VALUE FOR MONEY... FORGET THE PIN SUPPLIED BY SHIMANO AND REPLACE IT WITH A STANDARD QUICK-RELEASE! SHIMANO ENGINEERS WOULD DO WELL TO TEST THEIR INVENTIONS IN THE FIELD RATHER THAN ON THE DRAWING BOARD"

Byno (3/5)

Shimano excellence.

"Excellent chain for a sturdy Haibike e-bike—2,500 km without a single issue"

"I've been using it for three months for my bike commute on an electric bike, and the links have stayed nice and flexible. No problems so far."
