Chain 12 Speed/13 Speed SRAM RED AXS FLATTOP

Chain the strongest and most durable chain ever designed by the American manufacturer, the SRAM Red AXS 12 Speed puts its many innovations at the service of performance.

It features Flattop links with a flat top. According to SRAM, this half-flat construction makes the whole unit 36% stronger and 30% more durable. This innovation appeared at the same time as the switch from 11 to 12 speeds on the Cassette Road and may soon arrive in the world of MTB.

The chain is also narrower, for greater spacing between the outer part of the links and the sprockets. This optimizes rear derailleur mounting for silent operation. The Red also gets a chrome treatment, again for strength but also for smoother shifting.

For added lightness, the chain is also connected using hollow rivets. Finally, it uses a PowerLock connecting link for easy installation. And like all SRAM chains, it's made in Coimbra, Portugal.

It is also compatible with the Sram Red XPLR AXS 13-speed drivetrain.
