The SRAM Eagle X-Sync Boost 12S Direct Mount 3 mm Offset single chainring is designed for the American brand's 1x12-speed groupsets with a Direct Mount crankset.
X-Sync 2 technology features CNC-machined teeth that fit perfectly to the inner and outer chain links, and the large square serrated edges allow faster chain engagement than conventional triangular teeth, for optimal control and absolute efficiency.
It is offered here in a version with a 3 mm offset, specifically designed for 27.5" and 29" wheels.

Testing 30- to 38-tooth chainrings
"The perfect chainring for my drivetrain. I switched from a 30 to a 32/34 oval (which didn't make a difference for me).The 34 oval corresponds to a 36 on the widest part, and the 32 just allowed me to switch to the 36 without much trouble. I just bought the 38, and unfortunately the price has gone from 66 euros to 100 on Probike. Why??"

"This bottom bracket is only suitable for bikes with a Boost standard because the offset is 3 mm."

"I bought this chainring to replace the original 32-tooth model, which was unusable in the mountains even with a 50-tooth cassette. There’s no contest here—the 30x50 on a 27.5-inch bike is roughly equivalent to a 22x34 on a 26-inch or a 24x42 on a 29-inch. I would have preferred a 28-tooth, but the SRAM crankset isn’t designed for that. It’s easy to install; you just need to use Allen wrenches. Note that I didn’t shorten the chain, and it works fine."
