Chain benefiting from the many innovations designed by the American manufacturer, the SRAM Apex 12 Speed provides cyclists with a quality part at a reasonable price.
It features Flattop links with a flat top. This half-flat construction makes the whole unit 36% stronger and 30% more durable, according to SRAM.
The chain is also narrower, for greater spacing between the outer part of the links and the sprockets. This optimizes rear derailleur mounting for quiet operation. The Apex also gets a polish on the jerseys and a chrome treatment on the rivets, again for strength but also for smoother shifting.
Finally, it uses a PowerLock connecting link for easy installation. And like all SRAM chains, it's made in Coimbra, Portugal.
