"Great front-mount tire, true to its reputation. The cross king and race king combo combines grip and performance, a pure delight!"
"Easy tubeless mounting Used in competition at the front, with a Race King at the rear, maintained in winter during the off-season at the front and also installed at the rear, so to speak, it gives me satisfaction in all conditions. Its size is indeed 2.20. In 2.3, it would offer more volume for semi-rigids, but the version I ride on another bike is more trail/all-mountain oriented in terms of crampons and rubber. Don't hesitate to inflate below the usual pressures because of its fairly stiff sidewalls. No worries about punctures or brittle sidewalls."
"After many tests, I'm delighted with the Cross King front mount and the Race King rear mount".
"Used up front and coupled with a race king at the rear, it's the perfect combo for my XC practice (balance between grip and performance for summer). I'm safe with Continental's "protection" option. I also find that it deburbs well, which is important in order not to overload the wheel".
"Good tire for the front, light enough and strong enough. Weight: 638 grs verified. Easy to mount and keeps the pressure."
"I had a Schwalbe rocket ron as a front mount, good grip but fragile, I had a stud rip off on a curb and for me it's unacceptable that this happens on tires in this range. So I bought a pair of continental cross king protection, I've had them for 2 years and I find them really very good, good grip even on muddy terrain, good performance even at low pressure and above all very solid, no punctures and yet I'm not afraid of difficult terrain, in terms of wear even after 2 years there's still some stud."
"Mounted on the front with a race king on the rear, I find it's the best combo for Xc. Very good grip in corners and good performance on rolling surfaces. Very good puncture resistance too."
"Very good tire, tested at the front on slightly greasy ground, very good grip. Quite rolling on dry ground. Seems resistant thanks to the ProTection system despite the relatively low weight. Combined with a Race King at the rear, I think I've found the right pair of tires for me."
"Used as a front mount with a Race King 2.2"" Rear protection. Very easy to fit, top-quality waterproofing, good grip and good resistance to abrasion and punctures. Inflated to 1.4bar (rider weight 64 kg), it offers good front-end comfort and reassuring cornering. Top weight/resistance/grip ratio."
