Description
The Rennen 4-bolt threaded chainring is the flagship model from American manufacturer Rennen Design Group, CNC machined in the USA from aerospace-grade 7075-T6 aluminium — an alloy rated 83% stronger than the 6061 aluminium used on entry-level chainrings.
Its key feature is its integrated thread: the threads are machined directly into the body of the chainring, eliminating the need for chainring nuts and a chainring nut wrench. You simply screw the chainring bolt straight into the thread. Rennen was the first to offer this design, initially in 110 mm and then on its 104 mm models: it improves mounting accuracy and ensures almost zero runout.
With a thickness of 3/16" (approx. 4.8 mm) and a weight of 79 g in 38T, it is among the lightest chainrings on the market. Its dedicated single speed tooth profile has been designed to extend tooth life. 104 mm BCD, compatible with 8- and 9-speed chains.
