Description
The CRANKBROTHERSStamp Evopedal represents the new generation of flat pedals from Crankbrothers. Its standout feature is a platform that’s 20% longer than the Stamp 7, providing exceptional support across the entire arch of the foot. This reduces fatigue during long descents and improves pedaling efficiency.
It also features an innovative dual-material construction: a forged aluminum body for strength, paired with interchangeable composite bashguards on the outer edges. These bashguards protect the pedal body from rock impacts and allow the pedal to glide over obstacles rather than snagging on them.
What’s the main difference from the Stamp 7? The Stamp Evo is longer and features replaceable side bashguards. It offers a superior “locked-in” feeling of stability, which is particularly useful on rough terrain.
What are the plastic bashguards for? In addition to protecting the aluminum, they allow the pedal to “glide” over a rock instead of bringing the bike to a sudden stop. They’re a wear part that keeps your pedals looking new longer.
Is it easy to maintain? Yes, Crankbrothers has maintained easy access for lubrication. It’s fully disassemblable, and service kits are available if you notice any play after several seasons.
Are replacement studs included? Yes, the box usually contains a set of extra studs and a pair of spare bashguards to prepare for maintenance.
