The purpose of these extensions is to provide a comfortable position for the rider's hands in conjunction with the armrests. They improve performance by enabling the rider to hold the optimum aerodynamic position for longer.
They have a diameter of 22.2 mm in the clamping area and are designed so that cables are routed to the rear, to avoid cable exit holes.
