FINISH LINE Fiber Grip™ Carbon Assembly Paste is a mounting gel specially formulated to increase friction between carbon fibre component surfaces. By creating a secure micro-grip, it prevents seatposts, handlebars, and stems from slipping, even under high stress.
This large 450g format is ideal for enthusiast mechanics, clubs, or bike shop workshops. It allows the right amount of product to be applied across many bikes, ensuring every assembly meets manufacturer guidelines while avoiding overtightening, which is often fatal for carbon structures.
Is it a grease? No, it is the opposite of a grease. Where a grease lubricates to allow sliding, Fiber Grip™ creates friction to lock components in place. Never use it on bearings or threads.
Do you need to apply a lot? A thin, even layer over the contact area is more than sufficient. With this 450g pot, you have enough to fit dozens of complete bikes.
Can it be used with an aluminium seatpost in a carbon frame? Absolutely. It is even highly recommended to prevent the seatpost from slipping during rides or becoming permanently stuck in the frame over time.
