The HOPE TECH 4 EVO GR4 brake embodies the pinnacle of British technology and craftsmanship. Designed to deliver a perfect feel and absolute control, it represents the ultimate evolution of the celebrated Tech 4 system. Entirely machined from a 2014 T6 aluminium billet, it combines precision, power and reliability to meet the demands of the most extreme disciplines, including downhill and e-bike.
The TECH 4 EVO master cylinder benefits from significant improvements: a new piston, floating head, optimised cam, second guide seal and three new levers. These developments deliver fluid and customisable control of braking power. The lever pivot rests on two annular bearings, ensuring smooth and consistent action, while the adjustment dials allow fine-tuning of reach and bite point to suit the rider's preferences.
The GR4 calliper, Post-Mount (74.2 mm) standard, is machined as a single piece for increased rigidity and controlled weight. Its four hybrid pistons — two at 17 mm and two at 18 mm — guarantee maximum power and optimal heat management. This model offers 6% more power than the Tech 4 V4, while maintaining exemplary progressiveness. Ideal for gravity riding and electric bikes, it remains incompatible with vented rotors.
Supplied with three types of brake pads (Racing, All Conditions, and E-Bike), the HOPE TECH 4 EVO GR4 adapts to every discipline.
