Description

The GARMIN EDGE MTB GPS is a concentrate of technology designed specifically for mountain bike, enduro and downhill enthusiasts. Tough, intuitive and ultra-precise, its rugged design handles the most extreme conditions. Featuring a 2.13-inch MIP colour display that remains perfectly readable even in bright sunlight, it is protected by a scratch-resistant Corning® Gorilla® Glass lens. Its 7-button interface ensures smooth navigation, even with gloves or in muddy, dusty or wet conditions.

Compact and lightweight at just 60 g on the scales, the Edge MTB delivers up to 12 hours of battery life under demanding use. It features a quarter-turn mount (compatible with the Edge 1050 mount), as well as a new top-tube mount with strap, for versatile installation on all types of bikes. Its numerous on-board sensors — altimeter, gyroscope, magnetometer, accelerometer, barometer — ensure precise tracking on every ride. Thanks to USB-C, ANT+ and BLE connectivity, pairing with external performance sensors is quick and easy.

The Edge MTB GPS includes a generous 32 GB of storage for maps, routes and workouts. Its multi-band GPS with 5 Hz recording ensures high-precision location tracking, even under dense tree cover or in mountainous environments. New dedicated downhill and enduro profiles feature tailored data screens for better performance analysis specific to these demanding disciplines.

Finally, Garmin breaks new ground with innovative features: timing gates allow you to measure performance over key segments of the trail in real time, while the Forksight mode, enhanced by preloaded Trailforks data, improves trail awareness by offering an advance preview of upcoming intersections and route choices. Off the trails, make the most of preloaded TopoActive maps for cycling-specific navigation.

"Beaucoup de modes et de fonctionnalités. Je n'ai pas encore tout découvert mais ce qui est assez énorme est la précision du 5 hz. J'ai comparé 2 traces, l'une en 1 hz et l'autre en 5 hz et pas besoin de loupe. Uniquement des boutons et pas de tactile, pas grave, c'est juste une question d'habitude à prendre. 4 étoiles car il pourrait y avoir quelques évolutions sur l'érgonamie."

"Sortant d'un 530, honnêtement il y a du pour et du contre. Il marche bien, les réglages sont super simples, l'écran est lisible les boutons marchent parfaitement, il y a des améliorations mais pas de wifi et franchement ça manque vraiment. . . l'enregistrement en mode dh ou enduro n'est pas parfait. J'ai loupé quelques descentes durant la Pass'Portes. C'est dommage, j'aurai du le laisser en gps simple plutôt que de vouloir essayer le mode dh."
