Description

After the success of the AG1, which redefined the standard for DH grips, the American brand that created the Lock-On locking system and the five-time winner of the Downhill World Cup are at it again with the ODI Aaron Gwin 2 grips!

Taking up what made the first generation so successful, the AG2s take performance even further, thanks to the use of a new ultra-soft material, combined with an improved molded pattern that provides better grip and reduces vibration.
These grips also feature an eccentric grip derived from Elite grips, offering even more damping where it's needed most, without increasing the grip diameter.
Finally, the most shock-prone parts have been redesigned to provide better feel and more precision when you're riding.

Perfect

"I bought it several months ago, and the grip, style, and comfort are perfect. I recommend it."

Really disappointed

"Having already tested quite a few Lock-On models—Rogue, Yeti, Ruffian, X-Trainer, Vans—I’ve always been satisfied without being overly impressed, though the Vans do stand out from the crowd, with or without gloves. Drawn in by the Gwin signature, I took the plunge and bought them for DH riding with gloves. Big mistake—I’m really disappointed! After adjusting them as recommended and trying different positions, nothing helps! I still have this awful feeling that my hands are going to slip off without warning, with the horizontal fins getting in the way more than anything else… Since I have fairly small hands (size 9) for my 85 kg, the diameter of the AG-2s seems too large. On the other hand, the rubber—advertised as super soft—doesn’t have enough grip to ensure a good hold. Still, there’s the Lock-On 2.1 system with a single clamp that eliminates the risk of play that was present in the first version. In short! Even after two seasons of use, my old Vans perform better. All that’s left is to buy another pair."
