The 4Forty helmet is built around a high-strength polycarbonate outer shell, which is fused to the thickness of absorbent foam using the weight-saving in-mold process. To raise its level of protection, this BELL helmet incorporates the Mips technology (Multi-directional impact protection system) technology, which promises to effectively disperse the forces created on an oblique impact.

The 4Forty also features a comfortable Float Fit occipital adjustment system, an adjustable visor, and Sweat Guide front padding to prevent perspiration from getting into the eyes.
