Highly reassuring, this helmet is built around a monocoque combining a polycarbonate outer shell and a layer of expanded polystyrene for effective shock absorption. The shell is wraparound to provide extensive coverage around the temples and the back of the head.

Other advantages of the POC Axion helmet include an ultra-precise 360° adjustment system with thumbwheel, and a visor that can be adjusted and disengaged in the event of a fall to reduce the forces transmitted to the neck.
