Description

The TACX Neo 2T Smart T2875 home trainer  is a model that is both high-performance and quiet. It is aimed at competitors looking for a true training assistant. With its connected features, it offers an immersive experience as well as precise analysis to help you progress effectively.

The system is not based on physical transfer but on direct drive. This means road simulation is very true to life and power loss is eliminated. The powerful motor can deliver a maximum resistance of 2,200 W and realistically simulate gradients of up to 25%. It also supports downhill training. This creates an extremely realistic riding sensation, even on climbs. The new Neo 2T motor delivers higher resistance levels on climbs, during sprints or at low speeds.

The absence of physical transfer also makes for an extremely quiet trainer. No component produces noise or friction. In addition, it integrates functions such as pedal stroke analysis to find out how much power you are generating on your right and left leg with extreme precision (less than 1% variance), and it also includes pedalling cadence and speed sensors.

Like other Smart trainers, the Neo 2T Smart model communicates via ANT+, FE-C and Bluetooth, so you can easily and quickly connect it to Tacx applications and read your performance data on multiple devices at the same time (smartphone, cycling computer, sports watch). It also features Plug in/Plug out technology, allowing it to be used with or without a power outlet.

When the NEO Smart 2 is not paired with a smartphone, tablet or computer, it behaves like a progressive home trainer: the higher your speed, the greater the resistance. It is therefore perfectly possible to use this home trainer in "stand-alone" mode.

The new rear axle makes it compatible with all bikes. An adapter will simply be required for 135 x 10 and 135 x 12 axles.

SUPER HOME TRAINER

"I saved my HOME TRAINER TACX NÉO, from overheating. Despite the design flaw. I added an air extractor on top, and a small fan in front of the motherboard vent. Since then, no worries, the TACX stays COLD and all's well with it."

Out of order after 3 months and Probkeshop non-professional after-sales service

"I bought this so-called top of the range HT at the end of October 2022, it broke down on 15/02/2023. As indicated in other comments, it overheated and its charger went into safety mode, as the HT was over-consuming. I contacted the after-sales service on February 16, and since then I've had no news despite reminders by phone and e-mail. I find this treatment by Probikeshop unprofessional and deplorable for a new product at over €1000."

"Same worries as my two colleagues just below bought in March 2020 it is out of order it has overheated as on the forums we can see :/ 1200 euros -> 7000km as much to say that it is nothing at all. ..."

Generic design flaw in this product

"I bought this item 2 years ago. Now, in the middle of training, it feels hot and no more resistance. The equipment no longer connects via bluetooth and is out of order. After reading the networks and forums, it appears that this is a generic design problem: the internal cooling is undersized. Waiting for after-sales service after the warranty. . For equipment costing over €1,300, reliability isn't up to scratch."

very disappointed with probikeshop

"i bought a tacx smartflux2 for christmas on the phone recommendation of a probikeshop advisor. My express request was to be able to drive the trainer with my Garmin Edge 1030 GPS, on which I have many recorded routes. probikeshop recommended tacx, saying that it was a Garmin brand and that it would work well. When it didn't work, I called probikeshop. A consultant told me he didn't know what to do, that he'd look into it and get back to me. That was 2 weeks ago, and of course I didn't hear anything back from probikeshop. I took out a 10-euro monthly subscription to the tacx desktop application, which didn't improve anything. I've got other problems with this trainer: loss of Bluetooth connection in the middle of a workout, which means I have to start the whole course again, which is nice when you're in the middle of a virtual ascent of a mountain pass. No transmission of data from my Garmin heart rate monitor to the tacx desktop app. All this is very disappointing and I hope for an appropriate and professional response from probikeshop".
