Description
The USWE Elite 3.0L hydration bladder is a high-performance, large-capacity bladder specially developed in collaboration with hydration leader Hydrapak. With its generous 3-litre volume, it is designed for mountain bikers, enduro riders, adventure racers and trail runners heading out for very long sessions where access to drinking water is limited.
Despite its large capacity, it features a stable structure that limits liquid movement inside the backpack so as not to disturb the rider's balance on technical descents. It is fitted with the Slide-Seal™ top closure system with a wide slider that ensures a perfect seal and simplifies quick filling. The Plug-N-Play™ quick connector allows the tube to be detached with a single click thanks to an automatic shut-off valve: you remove the bladder for refilling without touching the tube routing in your pack. Fully reversible, it is incredibly easy to clean.
Can this large 3L format fit in any backpack? Due to its length and volume when full, the 3L bladder requires a hydration backpack with a dedicated large-capacity compartment. It fits perfectly in large USWE packs (such as the high-volume Core, Ranger or Patriot series) as well as in most MTB or hiking packs on the market designed to accommodate 3-litre reservoirs. Always check your pack's specifications before purchasing.
Can the bladder be frozen to keep the water cold? Yes, absolutely. Hydrapak's premium TPU withstands sub-zero temperatures. For maximum effectiveness in the height of summer, you can fill it halfway, freeze it flat, then add cold water before you head out. It also accepts hot liquids up to a maximum temperature of 60°C.
How do you avoid the sloshing noise when the bladder is not full? This is a great mountain biker's tip: after filling your bladder (whether to 1, 2 or 3 litres), turn it upside down and suck out the air remaining inside through the valve until the liquid comes through. By creating this air vacuum, the bladder will press against the water, completely eliminating sloshing noises and stabilising the load on your back while you ride.
