The Kärcher Battery Power 18 V / 2.5 Ah battery (reference 2.445-034.0) offers an excellent balance between power and lightness. Designed for the Kärcher 18 V cordless device platform, its capacity of 2.5 Ah (45 Wh) is perfectly suited to handheld tools held at arm's length (such as KHB and OC 6-18 cleaners, handheld vacuum cleaners or grass trimmers), avoiding adding unnecessary weight.
It incorporates the exclusive Real Time Technology: its clear LCD screen displays in real time, to the minute, the remaining runtime during use, the remaining charging time when plugged in, or its residual capacity as a percentage. Built to last, it benefits from optimal protection against water spray (IPX5), an ultra-robust shock-resistant casing, and an intelligent cell management system to prevent overcharging and overheating.
What runtime does this battery offer on my medium-pressure cleaner? On a portable medium-pressure cleaner (KHB or OC 6-18 range), this 2.5 Ah version offers approximately 12 minutes of continuous use. If you need double the runtime (approximately 24 minutes), we recommend opting for the 5.0 Ah model.
Can I use my standard Kärcher charger with this battery? Yes, this battery is compatible with all chargers in the Kärcher 18 V range, whether the standard (slow) charger or the fast charger (included in Starter Kits). With a fast charger, it recovers 80% of its capacity in approximately 44 minutes.
Does the battery discharge if I don't use it for several months? High-quality lithium-ion cells significantly limit natural self-discharge. In addition, Kärcher integrates an intelligent automatic storage mode: if the battery remains unused for more than 21 days, it automatically discharges itself to an ideal level of 70% in order to preserve cell chemistry and extend its overall lifespan. Simply store it in a cool, dry place away from frost.
