Designed for demanding and experienced mountain bikers, these LOOK X-Track Race Carbon pedals pedals promise excellent Cross Country performance!
Their design has been specifically thought out for the needs of the XC discipline, which requires the best possible power transfer and must not suffer from superfluous weight. The support on the sides of the pedal is preserved, to ensure good support under the cleats, which in turn favors the correct restitution of the power delivered by the mountain biker when pedaling.
With a total bearing surface of 512 mm², this pedal offers an excellent compromise between weight and power transfer. There are spaces in the center of the pedal to allow mud and sand to evacuate, thus preventing the system from engaging properly. This patented system has the advantage of being SPD-compatible. Intuitive, it lets you adjust spring tension and offers 6° of angular freedom.
In this classic Race Carbon version, the X-Track pedal is built around a chromoly steel axle incorporating perfectly sealed bearings, sealed by two new gaskets at each end. Super-light, the pedal body is made of carbon.

Fortunately, Probikeshop exchanged the product very quickly (always top-notch), otherwise the pedals are perfect as a replacement for the Crankbrothers—they have a wider pedal surface for more stability and more durable SPD cleats compared to the Crankbrothers’ brass ones, which wear out too quickly."
