Designed for demanding and experienced mountain bikers, these LOOK X-Track Race Carbon pedals promise excellent performance in Cross Country!
Their design has been specifically developed for the demands of the XC discipline, which requires the best possible power transfer and must not be hampered by superfluous weight. Support on the lateral sections of the pedal is thus preserved, ensuring good support under the cleats, which promotes efficient transfer of the power delivered by the rider during pedalling.
Offering a total contact surface area of 512 mm², this pedal strikes an excellent compromise between weight and power transfer. It features open spaces in the centre, providing the clearance needed to expel mud and sand, which can interfere with proper cleat engagement. Patented, the system has the advantage of being SPD-compatible. Intuitive to use, it allows spring tension to be adjusted and offers 6° of angular freedom.
In this classic Race Carbon version, the X-Track pedal is built around a chromoly steel axle incorporating perfectly sealed bearings, sealed by two new seals at each end. Ultra-light, the pedal body is made of carbon.

Fortunately, Probikeshop exchanged the product very quickly (always top-notch), otherwise the pedals are perfect as a replacement for the Crankbrothers—they have a wider pedal surface for more stability and more durable SPD cleats compared to the Crankbrothers’ brass ones, which wear out too quickly."
