The TOPEAK Internal Cable Routing Set is a complete magnetic guidance system designed to facilitate the installation of cables, sheaths, hydraulic hoses and electrical wires (Di2/e-tube) inside bicycle frames. No more frustrating moments trying to "fish" a cable with a bent spoke or wire.
The kit uses a powerful flexible magnet and a series of specific fittings to "pull" your components through frame cavities, even in the tightest or most complex passages (around bottom brackets, in chainstays, etc.). This is a massive time-saver for assemblies on carbon, aluminum or titanium frames.
Is it possible to fit an entire hydraulic brake hose? Yes. The kit includes an insert that screws lightly into (or clips onto) the end of the hose, allowing you to pull it through the entire frame effortlessly.
Is the magnet strong enough to go through a thick carbon frame? Absolutely. Topeak uses high-quality magnets that maintain sufficient pull even through several millimeters of composite.
Is this useful for telescopic seatposts? It's one of its best uses! Passing the seat control tube through the down tube and seat tube is often the most difficult part of assembly; with this kit, it's taken care of in seconds.
