MAVIC COMETE 45 Tubeless Ready Rear Wheel (Center Lock)

The MAVIC COMETE 45 Rear Wheel is built around a design focused on speed, aerodynamics and lightness. With its Aero Wide Rim profile and carbon construction, it is engineered to deliver high efficiency while maintaining excellent responsiveness. The Mavic pairing combines this 55 mm rear wheel with a 45 mm front wheel.

The rim features an internal width of 25 mm and an external width of 34 mm, with a design optimised around a 30 mm tyre. This geometry promotes a seamless transition between tyre and rim to improve airflow and aerodynamic efficiency, especially in crosswinds.

The Adaptive Layup construction combines several carbon fibres, notably T700, T1000 and 3K. This lay-up is designed to balance stiffness, weight and vibration damping. The 21 Aero Spokes carbon spokes help reduce drag while promoting direct power transfer.

The rear hub features Mavic Ceramic bearings and an ID360 40T freewheel system, engineered to deliver almost instantaneous engagement. The aluminium hub shell and optimised design contribute to the wheel's overall efficiency.

Hand-built and checked in the Mavic laboratory, this wheel also features the Locked-In Spoke Heads system, designed to maintain long-lasting spoke tension. It is compatible with tubeless, tubeless ready or inner tube tyres.
