MAVIC COMETE 65 Tubeless Ready Rear Wheel (Center Lock)

The MAVIC COMETE 65 Rear Wheel prioritises aerodynamic performance while retaining a lightweight, responsive carbon construction. With its 65 mm profile, it forms the rear wheel of the Mavic 55/65 combination, developed for fast, undulating routes where rolling speed and aerodynamic efficiency are essential.

The Aero Wide Rim features an internal width of 25 mm and an external width of 34 mm. This design is optimised for a 30 mm tyre to provide a smoother transition between tyre and rim. The goal is to promote optimised airflow and reduce drag at high speeds.

The Adaptive Layup carbon technology combines T700, T1000 and 3K fibres to achieve a balance of stiffness, weight and vibration damping. The 21 Aero Spokes carbon spokes, ultra-flat and aerodynamic, contribute to power transfer and rotational drag reduction.

The aluminium rear hub features Mavic Ceramic bearings as well as an ID360 40T freewheel system. The high-density mechanism ensures near-instant engagement and contributes to overall responsiveness during accelerations and pace changes.

Weighing in at 770 g, this wheel retains a weight-to-aerodynamics ratio specifically geared towards speed. It is hand-built and inspected in the Mavic laboratory. It is compatible with tubeless, tubeless ready and inner tube tyres.
