This versatile carbon road wheel is ideal for cyclists seeking the perfect balance between weight, aerodynamics and efficiency. New spokes and hubs give the Cosmic SL 40 lightness and responsiveness on climbs and when accelerating. At 40 mm high, the rim is specially designed for reliable support across all types of performance on flat and rolling terrain.

With its new rim profile, mounting and dismounting a tyre has never been so easy. The UST Tubeless system requires no inner tube, so no friction. What's more, a greater volume of air allows for softer handling. The result: increased speed with greatly reduced rolling resistance.

Combined with the new Infinity hub platform, which guarantees responsiveness in all situations, these wheels are stiffer and more efficient. The Cosmic SL 40 is specially designed for rim brakes.

They can be fitted with Shimano cassettes, and are convertible to Campagnolo and SRAM XD-R using optional freehub bodies. These wheels are designed, manufactured and patented by Mavic, in Annecy, and entirely handmade at the European facility.
