La pair of FULCRUM Red Zone 5 29" wheels wheels are perfect for mountain bikers who want to have fun on challenging Trail and All Mountain.

Designed by FULCRUM, this wheelset is built around a wide rim (wider than previous versions) with an asymmetrical cross-section guaranteeing traction and stability. The rim is combined with a high-performance monobloc hub made entirely of aluminum for high torque transmission, with an oversize flange on the cassette side for torsional rigidity, and straight-head spokes for maximum strength and responsiveness. An ideal balance between rigidity and lightness!

The new hubs now have the same small tube as those used on the Red Zone Carbon and Red Zone 3 models. It's the axles and bearings, however, where the differences lie: Red Zone 5 wheels feature sealed, durable and efficient bearings, with the possibility of micro-adjusting play thanks to a special adjustment ring.

In this version, the wheelset comes with Boost axles measuring 15x110 mm at the front and 12x148 mm at the rear.
