The bottom bracket Pride Racing BB30 Interlock solves one of the greatest challenges of modern BMX Race frames: perfect alignment and silent operation in Press Fit-type bottom bracket shells. Thanks to its exclusive Interlock system, the two parts of the bottom bracket screw into one another at the centre of the frame. This mechanical locking perfectly aligns the bearings and permanently eliminates the unpleasant creaking caused by frame tolerances.

What does the Interlock system offer compared to a standard Press Fit? On a standard Press Fit, the cups are simply pressed into the frame. If the frame has a tiny alignment defect or wears over time, the bottom bracket moves and creaks. Pride's Interlock system joins the two cups together via a central thread, forcing the bearings to remain perfectly parallel.

Is this bottom bracket compatible with my 30 mm spindle crankset? No. This specific model is configured with internal reducers to accommodate exclusively cranksets fitted with a 24 mm spindle. If you have a 30 mm spindle crankset, you will need the specific BB30 version for a 30 mm spindle.

How do I install this bottom bracket? Although it installs into a BB30 (Press Fit) shell, the cups screw into each other. It is necessary to use the appropriate tightening tools (usually standard external bottom bracket spanners) to torque the assembly to the recommended value, applying a little grease to the contact areas with the frame.
