Description

Ce rear hydraulic brake SHIMANO MT520 J-Kit is a powerful yet easy-to-maintain model that can be fitted to a MTB for sport or trekking.

The aluminum lever features a secure "2-finger" ergonomic design, and the shifter guard can be adjusted for personalized comfort. It also benefits from Servo-Wave technology, which ensures a short stroke to find a precise point of contact on the disc, thus ensuring excellent responsiveness, as well as great power!
The 2-piston caliper also benefits from an aluminum design, to ensure reliable, solid braking.

Simple and practical to install, it comes here in a Junction-Kit version designed above all for frames with internal cable routing. What's more, the system is easy to bleed thanks to the One Way Bleeding hydraulic circuit.

Installation of J-Kit brakes:
- Position your brake lever on the handlebar of the bike
- Mount your brake caliper on the fork and/or frame
- Route the brake hose through the internal passage in your frame (if your bike is so equipped).
- Remove the black rubber plug from the end of the hose
- Remove the yellow end caps from the brake levers.
- Slide the black rubber nut cover over the hose
- Do not remove the small white cap from the end of the hose.
- Insert brake hose into lever nut
- Keeping the hose at the bottom of the lever nut, tighten the nut to compress the olive inside the lever. There's no need to overtighten, as the nut thread should remain visible, and is then masked by the nut cover you slid over the hose earlier.
- Now you can operate the brake to finalize its installation.

PM = Postmount
IS = International Standard Mounting
If the spacing between the two caliper mounting bolts (on frame or fork) is 74mm, this corresponds to a PM mounting. If the spacing is 51mm, it's an IS mounting.
