Description
The RRP RearGuard Off-Road is a removable mudguard designed to fit directly under your seat rails. Unlike the slimmer road models, the Off-Road version is wider and sturdier, specifically designed to stop mud and water splashes generated by MTB, Gravel or Cyclo-cross tires.
It's the essential accessory for wet outings when you want to stay dry without spoiling the look of your machine. Installation is instantaneous and requires no tools: it slides between the rails and locks into place thanks to its ingenious design. Once the ride is over and the sun has returned, it can be removed in the blink of an eye and stored flat in a bag.
Is it compatible with a saddlebag? Not usually. As it occupies the space between the saddle rails, it's difficult to fit a pannier over it. It's ideal for those who ride with a backpack, fanny pack or tools attached to the frame.
What's the difference with the "Road" version? The Off-Road version is considerably wider. A mountain bike or gravel tire throws off far more water and mud than a thin road tire, so this model is sized to offer real off-road coverage.
