Description
The Sidi FAST 3 shoe sits squarely in the middle of the Italian road range. Its sole carries a stiffness index of 6 on the Sidi scale, which runs from 5 to 12: one notch above the comfort-oriented PRIMA 2, well below the racing stiffness of the ERGO 6S. This is the shoe for regular cyclists who ride fast without racing, and who do not want to pay for a competition sole they will never fully exploit.
The upper is built on a Wyve mesh with TPU reinforcements. The advantage of this construction comes down to one point: the retention comes from the structure of the knit itself, not from added panels. The result is improved stability and reduced weight without stacking up layers, while breathability remains intact where bonded reinforcements typically create stifling zones. The integrated anatomical heel counter stabilises the heel without deforming over time, and closure is provided by a single NUUN™ 002M dial, operable with one hand while riding.
The sole is a R3CC composite carbon, with independent cleat adjustment on a 3-hole plate, compatible with Look and Shimano SPD-SL. The Millennium Fit insole completes the package. Dial, insole, cleat plate and heel pad are all replaceable. The storm grey paired with ice white is the most nuanced colourway in the range.
