Description
The Title G1 rotor — a gyro, or detangler — serves one purpose: to allow the handlebar to spin full circles without the brake cable getting tangled. It is the component that makes repeated barspins possible without the hose ever blocking rotation.
The principle is mechanical and elegant: the cable from the lever pulls up a rotating outer ring, which transfers the effort to a fixed lower ring connected to the calliper. Braking therefore passes through a bearing, allowing the handlebar to spin freely. It is the only gyro designed specifically for MTB, whereas the rest of the market comes from BMX. CNC-machined in Canada from 6061 T6 aluminium, it spins on a machined Delrin bushing, selected for its low friction and wear resistance.
Two sizes depending on the head tube outer diameter: S up to 54 mm, L above. Three key points to consider during installation. Title recommends a frame with a press-fit headset cup; without it, you will need gyro tabs (gyro tabs) not included, which often require adaptation. You also need to allow for around 2 cm of extra steerer tube under the stem for the gyro's installation height. Finally, assembly grease is recommended. Braking is a safety-critical component: have it installed by a professional mechanic.
