SHIMANO GRX RX870 700C Tubeless Ready Wheelset (Center Lock)

The SHIMANO GRX RX870 700C Wheelset (WH-RX870-TL-F12-700C / WH-RX870-TL-R12-700C) is the first carbon wheelset in the GRX range, designed for demanding gravel routes. It combines lightness, stiffness and reliability for optimum efficiency across all types of terrain.

The rim is 100% carbon, with a 32 mm-deep profile designed to balance aerodynamics and crosswind stability. Its 25 mm internal width (30.7 mm external width) is optimised for wide, low-pressure tyres, with a recommended width of 32 to 50 mm. Tubeless compatibility provides better grip and reduces the risk of punctures.

The aluminium hubs use adjustable cup-and-cone bearings with contact seals for long-lasting performance. The HG-EV freehub body is compatible with Shimano and SRAM 11- and 12-speed road cassettes. Braking is provided by a Center Lock system, compatible with 140 mm rotors.

The wheelset features 24 straight-pull bladed spokes, laced in a 2-cross pattern for efficient power transfer and good lateral stiffness. It uses E-Thru 12x100 mm front and 12x142 mm rear thru-axles.

With a claimed weight of 639 g at the front and 822 g at the rear, this wheelset combines lightness and robustness for a fast, precise and versatile gravel experience, equally suited to racing and long adventure rides.
