Its 4-piston calliper boosts confidence and control on descents, while the lightweight and intuitive BL-M8100 lever allows precise modulation to push your limits with full confidence.

The optimised lever axle position and refined ergonomics, combined with I-SPEC EV technology, deliver intuitive and versatile braking. The system is 10% stiffer than the M8000, even at high temperatures, with quick brake engagement thanks to a shorter stroke.

The tool-free reach and stroke adjustment allows complete adaptability for every rider. The quick piston return and four-piston design offer superior modulation for better control. "When paired with a high-performance rotor like the Shimano MT800, you get powerful, consistent, and progressive braking. Despite the 4-piston design, the caliper remains compact compared to Magura models, which don’t fit on all bikes (I got caught out… ) The levers are comfortable, ergonomic, and feature two adjustments (adjusting the pad-to-rotor clearance and moving the lever closer to the handlebar). Download the installation manual from the Shimano website for the oil-filling/air-bleeding procedure to ensure optimal system performance. XT remains a good balance between price and performance, as always."
