SHOTGUN children's saddle

The Shotgun Saddle is the original accessory designed to share your passion for mountain biking with your child (aged 2 to 5). By placing your child on the frame in front of you, you give him or her an unobstructed view of the trail and a central position that won't throw the bike off balance.

This unique system encourages interaction: you can talk to your child, explain trajectories and share sensations in real time. Its ingenious design is fully adjustable to fit virtually all mountain bikes on the market (Alu or Carbon), while offering total protection for your frame thanks to high-density rubber protectors.

Is it compatible with my carbon mountain bike? Yes. The Shotgun saddle is designed with extra-thick, pressure-distributing rubber protectors. It's been used by thousands of parents on top-of-the-range carbon frames with no problems whatsoever.

Does it work on an electric mountain bike (VTTAE)? For VTTAEs (whose downtube is often very wide because of the battery), we recommend Shotgun 2.0 or Shotgun Pro models, which are specifically designed for oversized frames.

Can a child fall asleep on the seat? No. Unlike rear seats with backrests, the child is active on the Shotgun saddle. They have to hold the handlebars and participate in the balancing act. This is what makes the experience educational and reassuring, but it does require the child to be wide awake.

Is it difficult to pedal with the child in front? You have to spread your knees a little when pedaling, but you soon get used to it. The central position is much more stable for technical riding than a weight suspended at the rear of the bike.
