Description
The Sidi LIINEA is the Italian manufacturer's accessible all-terrain shoe, designed for cross-country and gravel riding. It targets long outings on mixed terrain rather than racing: support, protection, and a sole you can walk in without suffering.
The upper is made from supple, lightweight microfibre, reinforced with heat-bonded TPU at the heel and toe — the two areas most exposed to stone strikes and carrying abrasion. A 3D mesh on the tongue ensures ventilation, and a lateral structure inspired by the Firmor™ found on road models stabilises the foot under load. Closure is handled by a single NUUN™ 002M dial, operable with one hand while riding.
The sole is a nylon X2NC composite with a stiffness index of 5, the softest value on the Sidi scale, which runs from 5 to 12. This is a deliberate choice: in gravel and XC riding, you get off the bike, push through steep sections, and walk. An overly stiff sole becomes a handicap the moment you put a foot down. 2-bolt SPD cleat attachment on a 4-hole plate with independent adjustment, and a Cozy Millennium insole. Dials, toe insert, cleat plate and insole are all replaceable. Black finish — the most discreet in the range and the least prone to showing dirt in wet conditions.
