Visit SILCA Super Secret Chain Lube was born of a project to create the fastest melted wax lubricant for bicycle chains. Josh, with his experience working with professional cyclists and triathletes, wanted to make this formula accessible to amateurs. The challenge was to ensure even melting and immersion of the chain, despite differences in temperature and cooker models.

An unexpected turning point came when Josh discovered a technology from the world of IndyCar: the integration of microscopic wax powders in a fast-drying solution. This technology makes it possible to form a coating identical to that of molten wax, without the constraints of application.

By combining fast-drying liquid wax and tungsten disulphide, Super Secret Chain Lube has proved to outperform all existing molten waxes in terms of friction reduction, while being simpler and quicker to apply.
